I just want you to know that you have a great life. You really do! Jesus saw to it, and made sure of it! John 10:10 says that He came to give you ABUNDANT life -- the God kind of life. Life the way He lives it.
Your heavenly Father doesn’t want us to just "endure" life. Yes, we live on an earth with a curse, and we have an enemy, and we'll always have to use our faith to overcome stuff. But it's important that we don’t get so focused on "life is hard" that we forget we're fighting a DEFEATED FOE!
Righteousness, Peace, and Joy
You and I have so much to rejoice iabout and to enjoy. Just think, we've been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God (Colossians 1:13).
And Romans 14:17 doesn’t say "the kingdom of God is struggle and toil and constant warfare against the devil." No, it says, "the kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost!" What if we lived that every day?!
Philippians 4:6 tells us not to fret about anything, and 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast every care on God. These are not SUGGESTIONS -- they are commands. And they are supposed to be our way of life.
Hebrews 4 says that faith is a REST. “For we which have believed do enter into rest” (v. 3). Do we believe or not? Then we can rest.
As the world gets darker and darker, sinners are supposed to look at us and say, "Why are you so happy and calm and full of peace in the midst of all this?” If we're all beaten down and exhausted and stressed out from "enduring" life and carrying cares, why would they look to us?
When it comes to death and hurts and sadness, it doesn’t do anyone one bit of good if we carry the care and get depressed and join them under a dark cloud of despair. SOMEONE has to be full of the Word and full of faith and joy to help these people. It might as well be you!
Confession
Say this out loud: "I refuse to let what the devil is doing in the earth mean more to me (and weigh on me) more than what God is doing! The Greater One lives in me...and He's NEVER depressed!
He's never worried or afraid or wringing His hands over the condition of people, no matter how bad it gets. He's a FAITH God, and I'm His FAITH kid, and I'm going to keep loving and helping people, believing the Word, and shouting the victory, no matter what!"
