I taught a “Parenting With a Purpose Seminar” in Berlin, Germany as guests of my old friends Gary & Gail Cooper.
But on the way, I stopped over in Paris (one of my favorite places on earth) and met my cousin, Melinda, who flew in from Africa to spend 3 days of much needed R & R with me (it's half way for each of us). Even though it was cold, we had the time of our lives and saw everything on our list that we wanted to see, including the Sacre Couer, Montmartre, Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, the Arch de Triomphe, the Champs Elyses, the Louvre, and Notre Dame. It was an Ephesians 3:20 visit!
Then Melinda went home to Africa and I headed to Berlin to see the Coopers. Gary & Gail were on the mission field in Guatemala for several years before moving to Europe and starting churches in both Wiesbaden and now Berlin. They are very active in ministry all over Europe, as well as pastoring their wonderful, multi-national church in Berlin. They were very gracious hosts to me, showing me all around Berlin and cooking a magnificent American Thanksgiving feast while I was there.
Then I was really blessed to teach the parenting seminar on Saturday, and the morning service on Sunday. My interpreter, Gabi, was excellent, and the people were open and friendly and readily received the Word of God.
