God has more in store for you than you think! I want to encourage you to look up, past the place where you are in life, and get over into God’s way of thinking. Look through the eyes of faith and expect something more than you can see right now!
Have you ever started out believing real strong for something, only to grow discouraged or distracted over time because you didn’t see results?
Maybe you heard or read a message from the Word of God that set your heart on fire to believe for healing, or to get out of debt, or to see a relationship restored. You prayed, believed you received, and confessed you had it now.
But then weeks, months, or maybe even years went by without seeing results, so you got discouraged and just sort of stopped believing.
I think it’s probably happened to everyone. I want to encourage and remind you today that God’s blessings come by faith, and if you refuse to let go of your faith, you cannot lose. The Word never fails. You can obtain all of God’s promises every time if you keep believing and don’t stop!
One of the ways God revealed Himself to Abraham was through the name Jehovah Jireh, which means “the Lord our Provider” (Genesis 22:14).
God’s very nature is provision. And if we look at that word provision, “pro” means ahead and “vision” means to see. You could say that God is “the Lord who sees ahead and provides” in your life.
I love that! And we can see that it was true in Abraham’s case. Even before Abraham left to go up on Mt. Moriah and obediently offer Isaac as a sacrifice, God already had a provision in mind.
While Abraham and Isaac were heading up one side of mountain, the Lord had a ram on the way up the other side, even though they couldn’t see it at the time.
There are times in life when we are hurting or overcome by the troubles of life. And it seems that the worst hurts, more than any other, are hurts of the heart. I’ve seen many people suffer from these kinds of hurts and never recover.
But there’s one thing we know – God loves us, He has a good plan for our lives, and He doesn’t want us to be hurting. When troubles threaten to overcome you, remember that John 10:10 says that Jesus came so you could have abundant life!
