"Tests are not a plot and conspiracy against you.  A test is to determine what you know, to see if you're ready for the next level (ie - a math test).  Don't moan over tests — count them all joy, and pass them!" — Karen Jensen

The Pickle on Your Pants

You may have heard me tell this story before, but I believe it bears repeating. It’s all about focus, or what we’re looking at in our daily lives, and I think it’s something we all need to be reminded of – I know I do!

How To Come Out on Top in Every Situation

That title almost seems preposterous, doesn’t it? You might be thinking, “Karen, we can’t come out on top in every situation!”

But I believe the Bible says we can! In fact, it points out an amazing and powerful tool we have at our disposal all the time that will never fail! First Corinthians 13:8 tells us, Love never fails. I didn’t say that-God did!

Don’t Lose Your Victory! Winning Decisively Over the Devil’s Counter Attacks

Have you ever heard of someone receiving their healing and then getting sick with the same thing all over again?

Have you ever seen someone win a great financial battle by faith, only to suffer another terrible financial blow a few months or years later?

I have, and I’m sure you have too.  And it’s made me aware of something I believe every Christian needs to be vigilant about and prepared for: counter attacks.

By “counter attacks,” I mean those sneaky attacks from the enemy that come against you in an area where you’ve experienced weakness, used your faith to overcome, and won a great victory.  Just when you think the battle is over – wham!  Here comes the attack again.

What to Do in Times of Trouble

We’ve all had trouble in our lives.  If you’re not in the middle of some right now, don’t worry…you will be soon!

That doesn’t sound very faith-like, does it?  But it’s scriptural.  When I did a word search on the word “trouble” in the NIV Bible, I found 133 references!  Psalm 34:19 plainly says, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, and for some really good examples of trouble, read up on the apostle Paul!

So there’s no use feeling like a victim when trouble comes.  You’re probably not doing anything wrong—it’s just a part of life in this world.  That means you shouldn’t be surprised when trouble comes…you should just be ready!

You see, God knows you’ll face trouble, and His plan is to bring you out on top every time! Look at the rest of Psalm 34:19…but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Instead of wailing, “Why me?”  when trouble comes your way, you can have a purposeful, proven plan for victory!
