Dare to Dream

Webster’s dictionary defines a dream as “an idea or vision that is created in your imagination” or “something that you have wanted very much to do, be, or have for a long time.”

I want to challenge you as this New Year begins. I believe it’s time for you to dream!  Maybe press on with a dream you have, pick up an old dream, or dream a new one.

Know this: the dream in your heart is in there on purpose.  It’s part of God’s plan and purpose for you in the earth. And it’s totally possible. It’s not too lofty or far out. Luke 1:37 says, “With God nothing shall be impossible” and Mark 9:23 says, “If you can believe, all things are possible to them who believe.”

Does God Put Trouble On Us?

Are you sick, or know some who is?

Maybe you’ve heard people say, “God’s put this trouble/trial/sickness on you to teach you something.” Or maybe someone’s well-meaning advice went like this: “God has allowed this trouble/trial/sickness to come upon you to help you grow.”

Neither statement is true. It may sound spiritual to say something like that, but it is wrong. Remember, God never changes and He is always good. This is so important to understand.

What Season Are You In?

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about life, it’s that nothing stays the same.

Just when you get something the way you like it – whether it’s your living room furniture, your schedule, your wardrobe, or your life plan – something changes and then you have to make adjustments.

Right now, the trees are starting to change color all around us because summer is over and autumn is here.  Whether you like it or not, the weather and the environment are changing.

It took me awhile to realize that life was always going to be like that.  There are seasons! So I might as well recognize my season, adjust to it, and get happy about it. You might as well too. (read more)

We all want our loved ones to be saved. We want them to live in God’s blessings during their time here on earth, and we especially want them to spend eternity in heaven!

The saving part is God’s, but there is surely a part we can play — we can pray for them.
